Bloomsday is a com­me­mo­ra­ti­on and cele­bra­ti­on of the life of Irish wri­ter James Joy­ce, obser­ved annu­al­ly on 16 June, the day his 1922 novel Ulys­ses takes place in 1904 and is named after its prot­ago­nist Leo­pold Bloom.

Der Bloomsday ist ein Gedenk­tag und eine Fei­er zum Leben des iri­schen Schrift­stel­lers James Joy­ce. Er wird jähr­lich am 16. Juni began­gen, dem Tag, an dem sein 1922 erschie­ne­ner Roman Ulys­ses im Jahr 1904 spielt und ist nach dem Prot­ago­nis­ten Leo­pold Bloom benannt.

On Satur­day we start with the Pre Par­ty and Irish music. Satur­day night live events take place at the Schlacht­hof, the Rats­kel­ler and many other venues. The St. Patrick’s Day Para­de on Sun­day starts at 12:00 noon at Münch­ner Frei­heit and ends at Ode­ons­platz with the After Para­de. The day ends with Irish music and dance per­for­man­ces.

Am Sams­tag begin­nen wir mit der Pre Par­ty und iri­scher Musik. Am Sams­tag­abend fin­den Live-Events im Schlacht­hof, im Rats­kel­ler und an vie­len ande­ren Orten statt. Die St. Patrick’s Day Para­de am Sonn­tag beginnt um 12:00 Uhr an der Münch­ner Frei­heit und endet am Ode­ons­platz mit der After Para­de. Der Tag endet mit iri­scher Musik und Tanz­vor­füh­run­gen.
